Made in UK Day- Make it British!
It’s time we come together once again to support businesses all over the UK to celebrate Made in UK Day.
Started in 2011 by Kate Hills who used to be a blogger and retail buyer, this day is designated in support of products Made in the UK. Ever since then, it has been celebrated every year to appreciate and acknowledge the locally sourced and produced goods. The purpose is to raise awareness of buying locally and its benefits. It helps generate employment in the economy, promotes economic growth, reduces carbon footprint, and maintains the authenticity of the products. The UK’s manufacturing industry makes a vital contribution of £192 billion to the nation’s economy by employing 2.7 million people as declared by Make it British.
Dina Foods takes pride in producing authentic Lebanese delicacies here in the UK and delivering quality products to its customers. It takes this opportunity to honour the craftmanship of its team members who diligently maintain the authenticity and standards of the products made in its factories in London. It is because of their skills that Lebanese products of British origin do not lose their originality. Dina Foods is proud of our Made in UK products that successfully offer a pure Mediterranean consuming experience, while being manufactured to the highest standards in the UK. The provenance of the ingredients is an important factor and they are sourced as locally as possible. This has helped the company get closer to its goal of reducing its carbon footprint.
Dina Foods would like to encourage you to go local and buy products that are made in the UK. According to Make It British, more than 65 million people live in the UK and if each one just bought one item worth, it creates a positive impact on the economy. That’s an easy way to support local businesses and the nation!
Save the Date– 9th March is your day to go out, champion Made in the UK products and shop locally.
