World Coconut Day
Happy World Coconut Day!
Today is the day that communities around the world gather and celebrate the wonderous stone fruit that is the coconut. This festive occasion is celebrated most enthusiastically in the Asia Pacific region, such as in Indonesia and India—two of the world’s top coconut producers!
In India, the coconut and all its glory is used for various reasons, ranging from health benefits to using them in Hindu rituals.
Here at Dina Foods, we are one of the first manufacturers to use coconuts in our Baklawa pastries. Traditionally, Baklawa is made with crushed nuts such as cashews, walnuts, and pistachios. However, Dina Foods is all about spreading the tasty goodness of traditional Mediterranean recipes whilst keeping our customers on their toes. As such, we developed a Baklawa pastry made with shredded coconut!
You can taste the sugary filo pastry layers alongside the subtle, delicious taste of coconut.
So, what better way to honour World Coconut Day than by tasting a piece of coconutty goodness with our coconut Baklawa?
This bespoke product can be found at Home Bargains in our Dina Foods Baklawa 1kg box.
Join us in going loco for coconuts!
